James Brown: 1933-2006

Unfortunately, Christmas morning yesterday started off with tragedy:

According to various media sources, James Brown died of heart failure around 2am Dec. 25th, 2006 less than two days after he had been hospitalized with pneumonia and only three days after leading his annual holiday toy giveaway in Augusta, GA. He was 73. It's a sad week for entertainment, his loved ones and fans, and those who have love and respect for the gift of music and dance. The Godfather is irreplaceable.
