Conrad Murray to appeal on Michael Jackson case

Conrad Murray to appeal on Michael Jackson case
The Michael Jackson's personal doctor, Conrad Murray, appealed the decision against him on November 29.

Dr. Murray has filed an appeal against the sentence of four years that he must serve in prison for manslaughter on the king of pop, Michael Jackson, for events in June 2009.

The accused allegedly decided to represent himself in court. The documents filed with the court, Murray would have included his own phone number and address of the prison where he is in prison, instead of information reserved for lawyers.

His former lawyer, Nareg Gourjian, told TMZ that Conrad Murray believed in his chances: "This case presents a challenge to anyone on appeal. Dr. Murray is confident he can convince the appellate court to release him. "

On November 29, Judge Michael Pastor of the court of the county of Los Angeles has convicted the doctor of 58 years. Singer Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009 as the result of an overdose of anesthetics and sedatives. The jury found that the doctor was responsible for the death because he had regularly prescribed strong sleeping pills and other narcotics.

Conrad Murray will serve most of his sentence in his home arrest, due to non-violent nature of his crime.
