See how they do me? Apparently, the Weblog Awards are the world's largest weblog awards competition (according to them), but I have never heard of this until now. So thanks to a "funny" e-mail from a reader, I found out I have been nominated for the Best Gossip Blog category. Voting ends Dec. 15th and all of my fabulous readers can click the pic to vote for YBF.
I guess the fact that I'm the only black gossip blog on the list--and really one of the only black blogs out of any of the 45 categories--had nothing to do with the fact that I was never informed by the competition hosts that YBF is a finalist. Or that nominations started back in November and finalist voting started a week ago. Hmmm. But thanks to the fabulous folks who nominated me. Spread the word so we can put Black Hollywood on the map!
