Film Life's 2006 Black Movie Awards went down at the Shrine Wiltern Theater last night in Los Angeles. And there was a whole lot of black star power in the place:
Tyler Perry came out to hold it down for the fellas.

Fab chick Denyce Lawton was there with Wesley Jonathan. This isn't the first time we've seen these two hugged up at an event. New couple alert?

Wow. Cicely Tyson's makeup job makes her look like a whole new woman.
The cast of Akeelah and the Bee won an award. That's a truly fabulous movie by the way.
HBO hosted an afterparty at L.A.'s Wilshire Ebell Theater:

Now y'all know Gayle wasn't too far behind if Oprah was there.
