Foolywang Material: The Literary Edition

People have been saying a whole lot of crazy ish these past few days. Editor of the new Jolie magazine, Vivica Fox, interviewed Kiki about her Stankmora-like attitude and Russey Simmons. Michelle from Jolie sent over a snippet of the interview (it hits stands Aug 29):

JOLIE: How do you feel about the media’s depiction of you as some
"self-indulgent, over-the-top diva"?

KIMORA LEE SIMMONS: I try not to let others’ perceptions of me affect the things I know about myself. But at the same time I preach to all women everywhere that a little self-indulgence is sometimes necessary....

J: Allegedly, you were quoted in a major media outlet as saying
"I am happy and wished that Russell and I departed years
ago….Russell and I had outgrown one another years ago and the little blue pill did not help our s*x life….Russell was awful in bed! We
will continue our business relationship and we will both be active in our kids lives, but the romance is what...over!!!”

KLS: ABSOLUTELY FALSE! I would never nor have I ever been known to be the type of woman that would carry herself in such a way - by saying such silly and senseless things about another person, let alone my baby daddy!

This chick is too damn old to be calling somebody her baby daddy. But anyways-- I don't believe the hype. And as for the sex thing, I put 5 on it that she did say that ish.

And speaking of Ms. Viv, clearly she's been reading YBF for sh*ts and giggles. But now she's feeling real salty about how she gets talked about. BET.com asked her about how she feels about the black gossip blogs talking about her:

BET.com: There are a lot of photos of you and other Black celebs on the
recent crop of Black gossip blogs. Are you aware of any comments about the way you look and if so, how do you feel about it?

VF: I could care less. People are going to say what they want to say. I’m in the entertainment business, and they may prefer to be mean and cruel, but they’re entitled to their opinions. It’s life in a fishbowl. They love to build you up and break you down. It’s better to brush it off your shoulder. People like you or they don’t, but it does make you sad that your own people can be so negative. I’d love to follow them around all day and see what they look like on a 24-hour basis.

Oh Viv. Read the rest here.

Then Diddy went and told a media source this week that all this bad hype about Cassie is caca:

"She had her first television performance, and she had an all right
performance," he said. "You could hear the nervousness in her voice. And to be honest, I kind of smiled at it, because it made me really appreciate what I really love about her: She's a regular person. And we, as artists, we sometimes get nervous. I told her it's like riding a bike: You're gonna fall down, you got to keep on getting on it. I'm with her through her development, and I have no questioning on her ability, on her singing ability. It just made me appreciate that she got nervous, and it was kind of cute to me, to be honest.

"It takes time when you're developing a new artist," he continued. "You can't be fickle. Some people are going to have good days and bad days. The thing about Bad Boy is, we're with our artists through all days. She's not an artist that has a problem with her vocals or singing. You've got to understand that success for her is coming out of nowhere. It's just so huge, and sometimes everybody handles it differently. So I'm quite sure she'll get over it. She's going to have to. That's part of being a recording artist, and sometimes it takes time. I don't care how many performances it is, I'm going to be with her until she gets it right."

Cassie addressed last week's events on her MySpace page.: "I am aware that my live performances have been pretty bad," she posted. "No excuses, I'm still getting over stage fright. I am very upset with the series of events this week, and I do not appreciate people making me look and sound crazy....

Somebody PLEASE tell me both Diddy and Assie were not serious. *looking through the phonebook to find a cheesecake place to ship some to Assie* Heffa needs to be put to the infamous "Diddy cheesecake test" before he is allowed to make ANYMORE statements like this. And Bad Boy knows damn well they were the ones buying up her albums to make her debut at #4 cuz thy didn't want yet ANOTHER flop on their hands. Keep it funky Diddy.....
